Charlene Rogers, M.A., LPC-S, RPT-S, EMDR Certified

Ms. Rogers has a passion for helping children and their families overcome obstacles. She provides supportive, compassionate and developmentally appropriate approaches to facilitate growth and healing. Ms. Rogers works with children, teens and adult clients. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and a Register Play Therapy Supervisor, she provides training to interns seeking licensure. Ms. Rogers is Certified in EMDR Therapy which has been proven effective for treating anxiety and traumatic experiences.
Additionally, she has served in leadership positions on the Board of Directors for Mental Health America and the Sam Houston Chapter for Play Therapy. 
Charlene completed internships through the Allied Behavior Health department at Baylor College of Medicine, the Council on Drugs and Alcohol, the Juvenile Justice System and the Children's Advocacy Center. She also served on the Psychology Staff for the Monarch School for children with Neurological differences. Ms. Rogers has extensive experience in treating anxiety, depression, adjustment to divorce and loss, behavioral issues, self injury, attention deficit disorder, autism spectrum, sexual abuse and other traumatic experiences. Through providing safety and security in a therapeutic setting, she works to help her clients find hope and strength.
Parents are an important part of their child's therapy and are coached and assisted in positive parenting strategies. When children are suffering, their loved ones are suffering too. Her goal is to help the whole family.
Adults and teens are provided a collaborative approach to therapy. Ms. Rogers will discuss options for an individual plan to suit your needs. She strives to help clients to find joy in life and the resiliency to deal with difficulties. 

Ms. Rogers enjoys giving back to her community and church, she has two children, a boy and a girl, enjoys family time and outdoor adventures.
